I am an easy going person. I am passionate about what I do. I've always enjoyed learning about science in school and pursued it as a major in college. During my freshman chemistry course, one of my classmates was struggling to understand the subject, so I offered to tutor them. I enjoyed teaching the subject and felt a sense of satisfaction when they received a high grade in the class. I wanted to continue helping others enhance their scientific knowledge, so I became a teacher. I employ a teaching philosophy that makes learning common science subjects, like physical science and chemistry, fun and engaging. I do this by conducting activities, games and exercises that allow students to work as a team and express creativity, all while challenging them to ask questions and develop a clear understanding of the subjects. I work to encourage an interactive and team-building environment in my classroom. Students must be respectful of one another at all times and should share words of encouragement or offer support when a student is struggling with a subject. This makes the classroom a safe space for students to ask questions and express their thoughts on certain subject matters, which results in a greater understanding of the subject. I ensure that technology is incorporated into various lectures, activities and class experiments. Students learn how to conduct research by using tablets to access scientific applications or scholarly resources. I believe I am fit for any assignments given in my area of expertise and can offer a maximum satisfactory service.
