The Power of Time People always ask “what do you want to be, when you grow up?”. That kind of question put lot of enthusiasm about the future in me; with that in mind I forgot the power of the present. I was afraid of rejection or being wrong in general. With that question be asked, my answers depends on the mood I have, I would say doctor, dentist, nurse, but one thing is for sure I wanted to be in medical field. I remember when I finished high school; it was the time to decide whether I want to be natural science or social science student. Well I choose natural science, because everything was planned. After sometime in preparatory school things were becoming clear, I wanted to become health care student I wanted to be a nurse. Nursing for me is not only a job to do but also something that growth inside. Helping others and giving service or being there for great help for others is what built the character. I do believe nursing will help me to become a better version of me. By the government I was assigned to study computational science in Woldia University which is found in Woldia. The place was not safe place to be. There was war arise from political issues. And my parents didn’t agree with the idea of me going there. So I stayed with nothing in mind. I wanted to keep going forward or fight for something I want but at that moment I thought I lost my own game. Then I become familiar with the word “now”. Again people ask “what did u decide to study now?” people were expecting me to be the smart kid who have a backup plane, the trick thing is I was expecting myself too. I wanted for someone to grab my hand and show me the way. My father takes the lead and show the way he thought that was help full. Actually it was help full. Getting in collage was another turning point for me, not only I studied accounting but also myself. Until then I did not know how much dependent I was on other people opinion of me. Thomas M. Cooley ones said “ I am not who i think I am, I am not who you think I am, I am who I think you think I am”. Which clearly define my situation. In accounting the event or transaction occurring now is what make the statement to be report letter on and also affects the asset. I take this concept in real life. Which is other way of saying the present makes the past and controls the future. That clarifies so many things in life, what I am doing now and willing to do is what it matters to make my past regretless and for a bright future. The more I think of it, I don’t regret studying accounting it was a great experience and great help, but It is not something I will enjoy doing every day of my life, Nursing still got my heart. The different career that was chosen for me proves me right that my first choose is the right place for me. Sometimes we need to be in different path to know where exactly we needed to be. Now here I am giving it all to the present, using opportunities, trying to do what I can do now. No other people presumption of me matters but mine does, Also I am trying to be as wrong as I can be, because that is how I learn, even I am ready for rejection.
