Translation is a complex and challenging profession that requires a diverse skill set. To be a successful translator, I needed to acquire a high level of proficiency in both the source and target languages, as well as a deep understanding of the cultures and contexts in which those languages are used. Linguistic and cultural competency are essential skills that enable me to accurately capture the meaning and nuance of the original text and effectively convey it in the target language. I also have the ability to adapt to new information and changes that might arise during the translation process. In addition to having a formal education and practical experience in the field, I also possess specialized knowledge in one or more subject areas, such as law, medicine, Science and Technology, Information Technology and technical fields. This specialized knowledge allows me to provide accurate and specialized translations in those areas.
